This website has been designed to tell you about the practice
and the services that we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will
find it helpful and informative.
WELCOME TO THE PRACTICE
We hope this website will help you to make the best use of the services
that we offer as a primary health care team. Our aim is to provide the highest
standard of personal care and, although registered with a named doctor in the
practice, you may see any doctor of your choice, by appointment.
Bradley’s Practice is an un-incorporated partnership.
The Bradley’s Practice was started on 1 April 1959 at 76 Brunswick Road, Buckley
by Dr Harry Bradley.
Dr
Bradley qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1955 and worked as a general
medical practitioner in Buckley from 1959 until his retirement in January 1988.
The practice relocated to its present site in September 1975 when the existing
health centre opened. On 1 April 1959 Harry’s list was just 200 patients, but
such was his popularity that within three months his list size had risen to 3,500
patients. From then until the appointment of Dr Geoff Hoggins as his partner
in 1981 there was a waiting list of patients wishing to register with the practice.
Harry had been involved with St John Ambulance since 1957, and rose to the rank
of Assistant Chief Commissioner for Wales.
He was honoured in 1982 when he was decorated “Knight of the Order of St John”.
Harry, since his retirement, had been a regular visitor to the practice and was
often seen chatting to his former patients in the waiting room. Harry was known
as a General Practitioner who practised family medicine with integrity - aspirations
which all the current partners share. Unfortunately Dr Bradley passed away on
the 5th January 2005.
Disabled Access
We provide for disabled persons at all three sites. There are disabled toilets
and there is ramped access into the buildings. Buckley and Penyffordd surgeries
are ground floor premises and we have a downstairs consulting room that can be
used at Mold. Patients are advised to inform the receptionists if this room will
be required.
The practice would like to thank the various
